Hoy tendrá lugar aquí en Londres la ceremonia de entrega de los premios Olivier, los premios de teatro más prestigiosos del Reino Unido.
Estos premios, que llevan entregándose desde 1976, están nombrados en honor a sir Laurence Olivier, considerado el mejor actor del siglo XX en este país (de hecho, los galardones representan a Olivier caracterizado como Enrique V en la obra de Shakespeare).
La ceremonia tendrá lugar esta tarde en el famoso Royal Opera House en Covent Garden, donde los preparativos llevan desarrollándose desde ayer. El comienzo oficial será a las 18.30 (y los que vivís en el Reino Unido la podéis ver en directo en ITV), pero se estima que los invitados comenzarán a pasar por la alfombra roja alrededor de las 17.00.
Además, en la Piazza de Covent Garden hay un escenario instalado en el que se representarán fragmentos de diferentes musicales nominados en los premios, con el reparto original de los mismos, totalmente gratis, a partir de las 16.30.
Así que los fans del teatro y musicales esta tarde tenéis la opción de ir a ver las representaciones en la Piazza o acercaros a tratar de ver y hacer fotos de los mejores actores, bailarines y cantantes del teatro británico a su paso por la alfombra roja.
